In the third quarter of 2024, the navigation and maps app landscape in the Czech Republic showcased varied performance trends across the top five applications, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Mapy.cz: maps & navigation maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads starting at approximately 19.5K in early July and experiencing a gradual decline to around 10K by the end of September. The app's active user base saw a slight fluctuation, beginning at 311K and peaking at 332K in mid-August before tapering off to 289K at the quarter's end.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic observed a consistent download pattern, initially recording 12K weekly downloads, which decreased to 8K by late September. The app's active users showed a minor decline over the quarter, starting at 589K and closing at 546K.

Google Maps demonstrated a robust active user count, beginning the quarter with 696K and witnessing a slight decrease to 650K. Weekly downloads followed a similar trend, starting at 12K and falling to 8.7K by the end of the quarter.

Google Earth experienced a relatively stable performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 2.7K and 1.8K. Active user numbers remained steady, ranging from 19K to 16.8K throughout the quarter.

Sygic GPS Navigation & Maps reported a noticeable decline in both weekly downloads and active users. Downloads started at 2K, dropping to 736 by the end of September. Active users mirrored this trend, decreasing from 6.9K to 5.5K. However, the app generated revenue, peaking at $6.9K in early July and gradually declining to $1.8K at the quarter's close.
